Thailand Day 6

Updated: Oct 26

We took a break from the music lessons and helped to build shelves and also do some painting for the mission home that was devastated by the floods in Chiangmai just 2-3 weeks ago. We also got to visit families that had all of their belongings basically destroyed by the floods. They had no beds to sleep in and had to live with relatives.

It was so great to see the mission home go out to help so many people despite itself having to deal with the devastating effects of the flood. The people we got to help were in tears because no one else had come to help them. We got to give them rice and other food supplies and everyday essential items.

It was also harvest time for the rice fields that belong to the mission house center. It was super cool to see the rice being harvested. Afterwards we took a break a coffee shop. There are so many coffee shops in Thailand!
