Lesson in love

If you want a small lesson in love and hospitality then you can learn a little bit from the community on dawn island. Every other minute, a brother will ask me"Darvin, would you like some milk tea?" or "Is everything OK, can I get you something?" and help me with everything that I needed. The love and true community are so evident on the island. Just like in the book of Acts, a community that sold all their possessions and shared everything with everyone. This is not just love that they show me, but in the love and support that they show each other.

Jesus said that they will know we are believers, not by how we preach, or how we sing, or how we try to convince others that God is real, Jesus said the world will know that we are followers by How We Love one another.

These are men who used to live a life of crime and drug addiction, but their lives have been changed by Jesus Christ and they are a new creation, like the Bible says, the old has passed, the new has come.

One of the brothers gave me a dessert soup called "tong shui" in Chinese. It was a tofu skin sweet dessert and it was cold and it tasted amazing. The most awesome thing is that he saved it just for me.
