Thursday (day 4) on Dawn island was spent exploring all the amazing caves. One of the younger brothers brought me on a small adventure as we jumped off small cliffs into the water and swam in the ocean. The guys were telling me that usually on Sundays it's more of a free day where you can spend the whole day making food, exploring the islands and barbeque over a campfire. I had a chance to go hiking and swimming
He was sharing with me at just less than 18 years old he has already gone to prison. His old life was drugs, but all he wants right now is to focus on Jesus and know God more. I love him so much, he is one of the youngest on the island and I can see his heart for God is so real. We talked about his future after leaving the island, about the kind of music he likes and about life.
We spent the afternoon just talking and hiking and exploring all of the island. As one of the older staff member told me, this place truly is like heaven on earth. A place away from the distractions of this world. A place to hear and be with God.
